Massey's Professional Outfitters was founded in 1972 by the father and son team of Darrell and Larry Massey. The original store catered to both adventurous and team sports, plus competitive non-team sports like running and swimming. Fast forward to 2007, and Massey's now runs a state of the art brick and mortar store, in addition to four websites selling everything from Flip Flops to Ski Gear. From their site: "Over the years, we've spent thousands of hours getting folks ready for their personal adventures. Sometimes we're helping folks plan a trip to the Iditarod, or Antarctica. But A LOT of our time is devoted to helping everyday people go on everyday adventures...."
